Wishy Washy about Winter
Here in the south, we do not get much snow. I am always so excited for the anticipation of that one “great” snow storm we could possibly see! In our reality…..that almost never…happens!! Boo! Makes me sad.
This year I am not as fond of the idea of that one big snow! Seems the older I get, the colder I get. LOL. I used to make fun of my grandparents and my Mom…I mean gosh…the heat is on 72 degrees! Cold??? Really???
Well someone smack me silly for making jokes about them just being cold because this year; I am freezing!!! I need some warmth, some sunshine, or some whiskey…lol. Anything to stay warm.
Haha, once I wanted to “frolic and play the Eskimo way” and now I want “chestnuts roasting on an open fire”! I need that open fire roaring!
No matter how cold I am, I still enjoy seeing all the beauty in a picture perfect white wonderland. There is something serene about it all. The stillness…the quietness of the snow falling flake by flake. Nature's beauty! It even could be considered, in my opinion, a way of grounding yourself. A way to let go of stress. Sitting by a window watching the snow falling can give you a sense of release. Then add the roaring fire and you can really release anxiety, stress and look forward to a calmness of the mind. Looks like I have talked myself right back to wanting that one big snow! ๐
No matter which season is your favorite, find the beauty in nature and enjoy every minute of every day. You don’t have to do it right, just do it! Loving life, find your inner peace, life is good!
By request.., here is my latest work that I did for a friend. Got to have something to do while its cold outside.
